Money earned from 1 January 2024 is caught by the rule. Savings from before 2024 are not taxed when you bring them in, if you can prove when the money was earned.
Thailand has tax treaties with many countries: tax paid abroad can sometimes be credited. Some LTR visa categories can be exempt on money from abroad.
Keep savings from before 2024 in a separate account, keep your bank statements, and ask us before you move a large amount.
