Terms and Conditions

The rules that apply to the website, the client portal and our tax services.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

These terms govern the use of the Thailand Personal Tax website and client portal and the services provided through them by VB and Partners Co., Ltd., registration number 0105564466576, Ocean Tower 2, 14th Floor, Sukhumvit 19 Alley, Khlong Toei Nuea, Watthana, Bangkok 10110, Thailand (email info@vbapartners.com, telephone and WhatsApp +66 65 716 8539) ("VB & Partners", "we"). By creating an account or ordering a service, you accept these terms and the engagement terms shown in your client account for each tax matter.

2. Free tools are estimates, not advice

The tax calculator, Tax Check, treaty checker and Resource Centre provide general information and preliminary estimates based only on the information you enter. They are not tax advice and not a filing position. Your tax position is confirmed only after our team has reviewed your facts and supporting documents.

3. Our services

The content of each service (for example Essential Filing, International Filing, Thai Tax ID assistance, Tax Consultation) is described on the order page and in the engagement terms. Every return is prepared and reviewed by a Thai tax professional before it is submitted for your approval. Work outside that scope, such as previous years, corrective returns, audits or disputes with the Revenue Department, is quoted separately.

A Tax Consultation is a video or telephone meeting of up to 40 minutes with our tax team, booked and paid in advance. It gives general guidance on your situation, the documents you need and possible lawful tax optimisations; it does not include the preparation or filing of a return. If you cannot attend, tell us at least 24 hours before the appointment and we will reschedule it once.

4. Your responsibilities

  • Provide complete, accurate and genuine information and documents, including all income that may be relevant to your Thai tax position, and tell us promptly about any change.
  • Answer our requests for information within the time indicated so that the return can be filed before the legal deadline. If documents arrive late, we cannot guarantee filing on time.
  • Review the draft return and calculation before approving it. Your approval confirms that the information is correct and complete.
  • Pay any tax, surcharge or penalty due to the Revenue Department. These are not included in our fees.

5. Approval and filing

We file only after your approval in the client portal. If a figure changes after your approval, we ask you to approve the new version before filing. The filed return and the filing receipt remain available in your account.

6. Power of attorney and Revenue Department e-Filing access

To file on your behalf you sign an online power of attorney in the portal and, where needed, give us access to your Revenue Department e-Filing account through the dedicated secure form. You must never send your password by email or message. We use this access only to prepare, file, follow up and download documents for the tax matter concerned. Credentials are deleted once filing is complete and we recommend that you then change your password. You may revoke the power of attorney and our access at any time, which may prevent us from completing the service.

7. Fees, VAT and payment

Prices are in Thai baht and exclude value added tax. VAT at 7% is added to every invoice. Services are paid in advance, online by card through our payment provider Stripe, unless another method is agreed in writing. A VAT receipt is issued for each payment. Government fees, translations, certified copies and third-party costs are charged at cost when applicable. Fees paid are not refundable, including if you cancel the order or do not provide the documents needed to complete the service; this does not affect any right you have under mandatory Thai consumer law.

8. Tax refunds

Any refund is paid by the Revenue Department directly to you. Estimates shown before our review are indicative; we do not guarantee the amount or timing of a refund.

9. Liability

We perform our services with professional care, based on the law and Revenue Department practice at the date of our work. We are not responsible for consequences arising from information or documents that are inaccurate, incomplete or provided late, or from later changes in law or practice. To the extent permitted by Thai law, our total liability for a tax matter is limited to the fees paid for that matter, and we are not liable for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud or gross negligence.

10. Your account

Keep access to your email address secure, as it is used to sign in. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

11. Personal data and retention

We process your personal data as described in our Privacy Notice. Client documents and tax file data are kept for 5 years after the filing of the return or the end of our engagement, whichever is later, because the Revenue Department may review a return during that period. They may then be destroyed. We recommend that you also keep your own copies.

12. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or end a service if information provided is false, if fees remain unpaid, or if continuing would breach the law or our professional obligations. Fees for work already performed remain due.

13. Governing law and language

These terms are governed by Thai law. Any dispute falls within the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Bangkok. These terms may be translated; in case of difference, the English version prevails.

14. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force at the time of your order applies to that order, and significant changes will be notified in your client account.
